“Pitch the Billion Dollar Producer“ -HCC Ybor City

The Suncoast Credit Union Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF) announces a new Film Pitch Contest where 3 finalists will have the chance of a lifetime to pitch their screen play  in front of Randall Emmett and George Furla of Emmet Furla Oasis Films at the 2016 Film Festival!   A winner will be chosen and will receive an option deal from Emmet Furla Oasis Films!  

Emmet Furla Oasis Films has produced over 80 films and grossed over $1,000,000 in box office ticket sales and is behind some of the most successful films of all time including The Amityville Horror, Rambo, 16 Blocks, End of Watch, 2 Guns, and Lone Survivor.

Randall Emmett and George Furla will also world premiere their latest film Precious Cargo at the 2016 Suncoast Credit Union Gasparilla International Film Festival on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at 8:35pm.  The film stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar who will be in attendance, Bruce Willis, and Claire Forlani. 

To participate in the contest, filmmakers are asked to submit their logline of 25 words or less to GIFFPitchContest@gmail.com and is limited to 3 logline submissions per person/team  by March 31st, 2016 at 12:00 PM EST.   Ten loglines will be chosen by a GIFF Committee who will then refer for consideration by Randall Emmett who will choose 3 finalists to present their screen play at the “Pitch the Billion Dollar Producer” workshop on April 2nd at 2:00pm at the Festival.

Finalists presenting MUST be present during the workshop and must have a copyrighted screenplay or a WGA registered screenplay. 

Guidelines for submissions:

*Must have a copyrighted screenplay or WGA registered screenplay
*Logline must be 25 words or less
*Must be available/ present during the workshop on April 2nd
*Deadline for submissions March 29th

Rules and Regulations:

The organizers of GIFF reserve the right to reject any submission
The organizers of GIFF reserve the right to disqualify and/or otherwise adjust the ranking of any submission
The organizers of GIFF reserve the right to withhold the selection and announcement of winner.
The organizers of GIFF do not guarantee an option with Producer or any guarantee to provide a motion picture deal.
By submitting a piece of work to any segment of GIFF you grant the organizers of GIFF a royalty-free license to use your piece – with full credit to you – in any promotional (advertising and marketing) and/or research (review for judging, critiquing, etc.) activities they may choose. 
Entrants submitting entries for GIFF retain all commercial rights to their submissions, other than that may be agreed upon between, you and Randall Emmett, his affiliate, or any other person.
You will continue to own any applicable intellectual property rights in your submission, other than that may be agreed upon between, you and Randall Emmett, his affiliate, or any other person.
The organizers of GIFF reserve the right to change and/or otherwise alter the regulations and rules at any time and for any reason without notice. As a practice the organizers of GIFF will attempt to issue notices of changes within an acceptable time.
Entrants are expected to have all documents related to project in good order.
Entrants acknowledge that by entering any GIFF competition they accept all the terms and regulations hereby reflected. Further, entrants declare that the details furnished upon their entry into any GIFF competition are true and correct. In any case where the information provided by an entrant is found to be false or untrue or misleading or misrepresenting, the organizers of GIFF will automatically disqualify the entrant and purge all submissions of the entrant from all categories in all competitions.
